The auxiliary port in the Ford 500 is located on the central console dashboard. It can be identified by a small circular hole designed for 3.5mm jacks. If the auxiliary port is not functioning, the issue may be a blown fuse. To access the fuse box, look to the left of the steering wheel for a small seam or crack along the dashboard. Carefully open this with a screwdriver or prybar to reveal a collection of fuses inside. The back of the panel you opened should display a diagram indicating the purpose of each fuse. If not, you can locate this information in the vehicle's owner's manual. Once you have identified the faulty fuse, gently remove it. A good fuse will have a thin metal strip connecting the two raised sections. If this strip is broken, the fuse needs to be replaced; if intact, the fuse can be reinserted. Replacement fuses are inexpensive, costing around $10.
