The 2005 Honda Civic EX, SI, and hybrid come with standard anti-lock braking system (ABS), while it is an optional feature on the Civic GX. ABS helps you maintain control while braking in emergencies by preventing your tires from locking up. When the ABS detects your tires starting to lock up, it quickly pulses the brakes to stop them from skidding. If you feel or hear the ABS vibrating, keep holding the brake firmly and steer to safety. For optimal performance, ensure your tires are properly inflated and in good condition. Common issues that can cause ABS malfunctions include worn brake linings and contaminants in the brake fluid.
In 2005, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) comes as a standard feature in the Honda Civic EX, Si, and Hybrid models. It can also be added as an option in the Civic GX. However, ABS is not offered in any other Civic models.
