For easy installation of a new stereo in your 2001 Toyota Camry, consider using an adapter. Wire harness adapters are available to convert your stock plug colors to universal ones that can connect to most head units on the market today. If you prefer to splice your OEM wires, the necessary colors are blue/yellow for the constant 12-volt source, gray for the switched 12-volt source, and brown for the ground wire. The left front speakers can be connected with pink and violet wires, while the right front speakers use light green and blue wires. For the left rear speaker, use brown/white and brown wires, and for the right rear speaker, use dark blue and tan wires.
