The 2017 Ford Mustang does not include a spare tire or jack kit as standard, but instead comes equipped with a Tire Mobility Kit (TMK) that provides temporary solutions for tire issues. The TMK may include items to help patch a tire temporarily, such as an air compressor and foam filler. While you have the option to purchase a spare tire/jack kit for an additional cost, this would increase the overall price of the car. If desired, you can contact the dealer to buy a spare tire and jack kit for your car at an extra cost of $320, which can be stored underneath the truck's lining. Many newer car models are opting to exclude spare tires to save space and weight, resulting in a more affordable price.
The premium Mustang models don't include a spare tire, but you can buy one separately that fits in the trunk. This decision was made to reduce weight and improve performance.
Even though Ford doesn't include a spare tire with the Mustang, you can purchase a spare tire kit that includes a pre-mounted tire.
Unless you make a specific request, it includes a can of tire sealant and an electric air pump, hahaha.
