The 2019 Honda Pilot does not come with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). It is recommended to change the transmission fluid every 30,000 to 60,000 miles to avoid potential problems. Neglecting fluid changes could result in concerning noises emanating from the transmission. Over time, the old transmission fluid can produce unpleasant sounds. An aging torque converter can also lead to complications. The transmission plays a vital role in the vehicle's operation, and encountering issues is inevitable. Symptoms like harsh shifting, shuddering, gear sticking, and jerking may occur. Any transmission fluid leaks should be promptly addressed to prevent further damage. Delayed shifting can lead to acceleration issues, while slipping transmission can also be a problem that needs fixing.
The 2019 Honda Pilot does not provide the option of a CVT transmission as part of its powertrain choices.
