  I recently bought a 2019 Sorento SX Limited, but it did not come with the Remote Start key fob. Despite finding guides on how to activate remote start using the standard 4-button remote, all it does on my car is open the rear hatch. The dealer, after checking my VIN, stated I must purchase a $375 Kia kit to enable Remote Start. Your article suggests that remote start is already included in my car! How can I confirm this and obtain the necessary remote fob to utilize it? The situation is causing me both frustration and confusion.

  The 2019 Kia Sorento offers remote start only in select models. The Kia Sorento EX V6, SX, and SX Limited include remote start as a standard feature, while the L, LX, LX V6, and S V6 do not. However, because all Kia Sorento models share the same base, it is feasible to have an aftermarket OEM remote start system added.

  You are mistaken. The 2019 Sorento EX V6 that I have does not include remote start as a standard feature.
