The 2011 Chevy Equinox may come with an optional backup camera, but it is not a standard feature. If you find that the backup camera is not functioning, the most likely cause is a blown fuse. To access the fuse box, locate a small seam or crack to the left of the steering wheel on the dashboard. You can use a screwdriver or prybar to open this panel. Inside, you will find multiple fuses. Check the diagram on the back of the panel or refer to the owner's manual to identify the fuse related to the backup camera. Once located, remove the fuse. If the thin strip of metal connecting the two sections is broken, the fuse needs to be replaced. New fuses are typically inexpensive, costing around 10 dollars.
Certainly! Absolutely, the 2011 Chevy Equinox has the option to include a backup camera. In the 1LT model, it can be included as part of the Drivers Convenience Package, while it already comes equipped as a standard feature on the 2LT and LTZ models. Unfortunately, this feature is not offered on the base LS model.
