The upgraded 4x4 and 4x2 models with rear load level suspension feature larger tanks, holding 30 gallons to accommodate heavier workloads. Although Ford recommends 87 or higher octane fuel, the Expedition runs smoothly on higher ratings like 89 as well. Both premium and unleaded gasoline are suitable for the vehicle.
