The 2007 Honda CR-V requires 4.4 quarts of 0w-20 synthetic motor oil for an oil change. Before starting the oil change process, ensure that the car has been parked and turned off for a couple of hours to allow the oil to cool down. Locate the oil pan in the engine compartment and find the drain plug underneath. Place a bucket under the plug and then remove it to let the oil drain into the pan. Let the oil drip until it stops, which may take around an hour. Once it's done draining, reattach the drain plug and locate the intake port on top of the oil pan. Use a funnel to fill the oil pan to the full mark, being careful not to overfill. It's okay to have a little less oil than full, but too much can cause leaks and oil burning. After filling the oil, close the port, clean up any spilled oil, and you'll be all set.

My 2007 car model mk3 has a single overhead cam (SOHC) engine with I-VTEC technology, identified by the code R20A2. I use Castrol Edge fully synthetic oil with a 0W-30 viscosity rating that meets A5/B5 specifications.
