The 2018 Nissan Versa has different oil capacities depending on the engine size: 3.1 quarts for the 1.6 liter engine and 4.3 quarts for the 1.8 liter engine. The recommended oil type is SAE 5w-30 with an approved API certification mark to ensure quality. The owner's manual suggests changing the oil every 3000 - 5000 miles or every 3 months to maintain peak engine efficiency. Oil prices usually range from $5 to $12 per quart, varying based on the brand and type. Synthetic oil is more expensive than conventional oil but offers better lubrication for a longer period, extending the time between oil changes.

NISSAN suggests using real NISSAN Engine Oil from an authorized dealer. If you don't have that, for the 2011 Nissan Versa, you can use SAE 5W-30 oil with the API Certification Mark. The MR18DE engine needs 4.3 quarts (4.1 liters) of oil, and the HR16DE engine needs 3.1 quarts (3.0 liters).
