If you take good care of your Cadillac CTS, it can go the distance, lasting anywhere from 100,000 to 400,000 miles or more if you're fortunate. But neglecting maintenance could shorten its lifespan significantly, leaving you struggling to reach even 100,000 miles. Proper maintenance involves keeping up with all the scheduled tasks, which can accumulate over time. The most crucial task is changing the oil, as it plays a vital role in keeping the engine clean, but it's not a one-time fix. Aim to change both the oil and the filter every 5,000 miles or thereabouts. Additionally, you can perform other maintenance tasks such as changing the coolant, rotating the tires, and replacing the filters.

I'm currently at 221,000 miles and my engine is still running strong. I think I'll be able to hit 300,000 miles.

My 2005 Cadillac CTS V6 was named car of the year and influenced the design of all new Cadillac CTS models for the next decade! It's still gorgeous and my pride and joy! It runs smoothly and looks brand new despite having 173,000 miles on it. I adore my car!

My 2011 vehicle has clocked 131,000 miles, yet it still handles like it just rolled off the lot.

My CTS 4 sports wagon has been carefully maintained with regular services, but I've been hit with some costly repair bills lately. For instance, I had to shell out $700 to replace a headlight including labor, and around $3000 for fixing fuel distribution issues. Now, I'm dealing with replacing the rear hatch door hydraulics, which was previously covered under warranty. Instead of paying $500 for the service, I managed to sort it out with a simple $2.75 wooden fix.

I own a 2013 Cadilac ATS V 6 with 34,000 miles on it. Based on the feedback, it seems like I'll be driving this car for a while. I really like the car and haven't had any issues with it. Even though a dump truck hit the rear driver's side with only minor damage, the dealer was able to repair it. I was sure my car would be considered totaled, but it wasn't. Shows that it's made to endure.

Hey y'all, my 2003 CTS has hit 160,000 miles and it's still running like a champ. I just had to replace the fuel pump, and I also got the valve cover gasket leak fixed up.

In 2010, my CTS has clocked 180,000 miles and still runs like a beast. I don't even bother with oil changes when required.

  • Bob Bechtel

2011 Cadillac CTS equipped with a 3.0-liter engine and a 6-speed manual transmission has clocked 155,000 miles and is still performing well. It's a joy to drive this car with a manual gearbox!

Here's a rephrased and personalized version:

I own a 2011 CTS 3.6 with 170,000 miles on it. I make sure to keep up with all the suggested maintenance, and so far, the car has been running smoothly (aside from replacing the oil gauge sending unit at 155k). There are no annoying squeaks or rattles. It still drives well, accelerates nicely, and gets decent gas mileage. Overall, I'm really happy with the car and would definitely consider buying another one in the future.

I notice many positive comments, but I'd like to know more about the maintenance required to reach 150,000-200,000 miles. I suspect there were costly repairs for the suspension and drivetrain over time. Can you provide details on the necessary repairs and when they were done?

I drive a 2010 CTS4 with 200,000 miles on it. Recently, I had to get the timing chains replaced, and now it's in the shop because of a faulty transmission pump. They're going to swap out the transmission for me. Thankfully, I have an extended warranty, so everything is covered. I drive my car pretty aggressively, so I guess this is the result of pushing it to its limits.

I bought my 2009 CTS 4 in Black Cherry brand new in 2009. I worked from home for the last six years of my corporate career, and I've been retired for over two years now, so it only has 96,000 miles on it and still runs perfectly. The battery held up for a decade, the water pump lasted 11 years, and the coolant is changed every five years. Since I started working from home in 2014, I've only had to change the oil and filter once a year due to reduced annual mileage. I replaced the spark plugs at 90,000 miles and all the belts at 80,000 miles. I plan to keep it for another year before passing it on to my child, who will drive it for at least another five years.

Awesome vehicle. Opted for the standard model to avoid unnecessary extras. Original battery is still going strong after 110,000 miles. Deciding to replace the battery this week as a precaution before a long journey.

I own a 2008 CTS with 175,000 miles on it that I bought brand new. I'm getting a check engine code indicating that the timing chain is misaligned. I'm debating whether to spend $4,000 on fixing it or if it's time for me to get a new car.

  • Martin F.

I drive a 2008 CTS 4 with more than 300,000 miles on it. The only problem I'm experiencing is that cylinder 2 isn't getting enough spark, but other than that, the car runs perfectly.

  • Amelia T.

I recently purchased a 2008 CTS 4 that has over 300,000 miles on it. The car has been well taken care of, and I am the third owner. The only problem I am experiencing is that the spark plug in cylinder 2 is not getting enough spark. Besides that, the car runs perfectly.

As an American, I would phrase this as: "I purchased a brand-new 2012 Cadillac CTS, and it now has 274,000 miles on it. I haven't needed any major engine work or had any transmission problems. While I did opt to replace the headlights at a somewhat high cost, it was more of a personal preference than a necessity. I also had a radiator repair and had to replace a bearing at one point, but overall, this car has been fantastic!

  • Patsy E.

My 2008 CT has racked up just over 265,000 miles but still packs the same punch as when it first hit the road. What a fantastic car!

  • Ann Town

I have 120,000 miles on mine. I had it rust-proofed right after purchasing it since it was a rental car from Florida. It's a 2006 in a sandstorm color. Every time I climb into my Cadillac, I feel a sense of pride. Luckily, no significant problems have cropped up yet.

  • Sheila Ellis

In 2009, this CTS has only been driven for 30,000 miles and is in excellent condition, having been kept in a garage. It has not encountered any problems at all up to this point.

  • Bill Herring

I'm from Mpls and I own a 2009 CTS4 with the 3.6 DI engine. It's almost completely free of rust, and I use it regularly in the snow and salt. Despite having 226,000 miles on it, my car still runs and appears as good as new!

  • Eugenia T.

I have a car with 203,000 miles that is still running well. I replaced the rear struts with second-hand ones when the car had 175,000 miles.

A 2004 Cadillac CTS with 227,750 miles and running smoothly! Awesome πŸ’ͺπŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎ

  • Aurelio B.

208,000 miles on a 2009 Cadillac CTS just had the shocks, sway bar link, rear brakes, and passenger headlight fixed. The only thing left is to replace the shifter solenoid, which costs $1200 at Firestone. Besides that, the car runs extremely well.
