If you own a Ford Taurus and have noticed a lack of heat from your heated seats, especially if it's a 2011 model, there might be a recall due to this issue. Some drivers have reported that manually turning on the switch doesn't produce any heat in the seats. This is likely because the wires used in this model are too thin, leading to premature wear and breakage. Normally, replacing these wires can cost between $4 and $24 for parts, and $58 to $149 for labor. Fortunately, the manufacturer is offering a free replacement due to the recall.

The Ford Taurus is being recalled by Ford in regards to a heated seat issue where the heater does not activate despite the switch being turned on. The heating element fails to generate heat because the wires responsible for the seat heater are thin and susceptible to wearing out and breaking over time. As a result, Ford is calling back this model for the necessary repairs.
