No, there isn't a recall for the motor mounts of the 2012 Honda Civic, or any Honda Civic, even though many drivers believe there should be. Honda has been using the same system known for cracking for over 20 years, despite the known issues. What tends to happen is that the mounts will crack, sometimes even under 10,000 miles, and definitely before 80,000 miles, especially with regular highway driving. This is mainly due to the vehicle's vibration and lack of cushioning. Aftermarket replacements can be purchased for around $50, and if you're up for the challenge, you can install them yourself, but otherwise, it's best to have a professional handle it since the engine needs to be lifted. It's recommended to steer clear of OEM parts in this instance, as they are likely to fail sooner than the higher-quality third-party options available for purchase.

I've had to change the mount on the passenger side of my car twice in the past year. The most recent replacement was 2-3 months ago, but it's already cracked and causing severe vibrations in my car. When I replaced it last time, I had to realign my engine because the faulty mount caused it to shift downward and to the left. Despite ensuring it was properly aligned, the mount not only failed prematurely but did so very quickly.
