As of now, there are no active recalls for the blower motor resistor in the 2006 Chevy Silverado. While there are known wiring issues with the resistor, Chevrolet is handling them on a case-by-case basis without issuing any recalls. Manufacturers initiate recalls when a significant number of components are failing in vehicles on the road, which has not occurred in the case of your truck's blower motor resistor. Generally, in a recall scenario, the manufacturer covers the costs for parts and labor to ensure that you are not charged for any service-related expenses.

I think they should recall the blower motor speed resistor because I'm buying my second one with the wiring harness included. The first time I had to replace it was two years ago. My truck is a 2006 Silverado Crew Cab with 98,000 miles on it!
