To disable the traction control on a Ford Transit, just press and hold the VSC button for three seconds. This is useful when driving up a slippery hill or when trying to get out of snow or mud. Be careful though, as turning off traction control might result in the vehicle getting stuck if traveling through deep snow or mud. Traction control is a system in your vehicle that monitors wheel slippage. If it senses that one wheel is spinning faster than the rest, it will either apply the ABS to that wheel or reduce engine power to that wheel automatically.
