My boy misplaced the only key to my 1998 Explorer, so I had a locksmith craft a new key. Now, the engine cranks but the car won't start. I don't have a key fob or anything fancy like that. The locksmith mentioned I might need to bypass the security system, but I'm clueless on how to do that. I've attempted the old trick of turning the key in the lock and counting to 60, but no luck.
