In 2013, the Honda CR-V boasted a cargo volume of 37.2 cubic feet with the seats up, and an impressive 70.9 cubic feet with the seats folded down, surpassing many other compact SUVs of its time. This feature made it stand out in its class. In addition to its spacious cargo area, CR-V owners appreciated the low cargo floor, making loading and unloading much easier than in some competing vehicles. While the seats don't fold completely flat, this didn't bother owners because of how much overall space there was. Whether you're running errands, going camping with lots of gear, or anything in between, the CR-V could handle a maximum payload of 850 pounds.

When you fold down the back seat, the storage area is roughly 63 inches deep. The hatch opening is around 31 inches wide at the top and 41.5 inches wide at the bottom, with a height of approximately 34.5 inches. Keep in mind that the rear seats do not fold completely flat, so the storage space right behind the driver/passenger seat is only about 28 inches high.

The 2013 Honda CR-V offers more than the usual amount of storage room for a small SUV. It has a rear cargo space of 37.2 cubic feet, which expands to 70.9 cubic feet when the back seats are folded down.
