The cargo space in the 2005 Kia Sportage measures 23.6 cubic feet with the seats up and 66.6 cubic feet with the seats folded down. To access more space, there is a floor panel in the vehicle that can be raised. Beneath this panel is a compartment where the seats can be folded down. To fold the seats, simply pull the lever on the side of the seat and push them down into the compartment until they lock into place with a click sound. Reversing this action to fold the seats back up is a quick process, taking only a minute or two to complete.
