If you drive a Chevy Bolt and your car battery dies, you may not be able to open your trunk. However, you can manually solve this issue by following a few easy steps. Start by going to the front of your car and opening the hood. Then, find the 12-volt battery terminal in the engine compartment. You can connect and charge your battery using this terminal. After the battery is fully charged, you should now be able to open your trunk by using the buttons on your remote key fob.
Of course, there's no way you could lose a key inside a Chevy Volt's trunk!
If the battery in your Chevy Volt has died, you'll have to manually unlock the trunk by inserting the key into the designated slot on the trunk.
