The Ford Explorer is equipped with fog lights. To activate them, you need to first switch on the lights and then pull out the knob towards you. The light switch can be found on the control arm near the steering wheel where the turn signal indicator is located. If your fog lights do not turn on after pulling the knob, it could be due to a blown fuse or a faulty fog light switch. Sometimes, the fog light switch may let too much power through, causing the fuse to blow. You can examine the fuse in the fuse panel to check if it's blown. If you notice a gap or a dark metallic hue in the wire inside the glass when you pull out the fuse, you will need to replace it.

I own a 2022 Ford Explorer. If your model is equipped with fog lights, you can activate them by pushing the center of the left side rotary headlight dial switch when it's set to automatic mode. Push the center again to deactivate the fog lights. While they're on, a green indicator light will appear to the left of the information dash.

In a 2013 Explorer, there is a rotary dial located on the left side of the steering wheel to control the lights. The bottom left push button activates the interior lights, while the top left button turns on the fog lights (the lowest lights at the front of the car, if it has them). By turning the rotary dial one notch to the symbol resembling "cats eyes," you can switch on the running lights (the orange lights located above the headlights). Another turn of the dial manually activates the headlights. If you turn it one more time to the light bulb symbol with the letter A in it, the lights will automatically come on when it gets dark outside, not just when it's dark in your heart.
