To activate lane assist in the Ford Explorer, check out this instructional video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8O3u20MBmsE. Ensuring proper steering is essential for switching lanes and navigating the roads. However, you may encounter issues in the future, such as the vehicle veering to one side, leaks in the steering fluid, a stuck steering wheel, a faulty rack mount, a loose steering pump leading to potential vehicle damage, bad strut bearings, along with the necessity of changing the power steering fluid every 75,000 miles. In addition to fluid changes, be mindful of any unusual noises coming from the steering components; a faulty bearing will produce a loud and unpleasant sound, while a loose bearing will be bothersome to the ears.
