To attach a front license plate on Your Silverado, you can attach a bracket using the pre-installed bolts located on the front bumper of the truck. Typically, the truck will have two lower bolts already in place, which should be enough to support a bracket with four holes facing the front. The assembly process will require 1/4" screws with a thread size of 14 x 3/4". If the truck's bumper does not have pre-drilled holes, you can use a 3/16" drill bit to create holes according to measurements taken beforehand. Position the bracket against the bumper, mark the hole locations, and then drill accordingly. Alternatively, some aftermarket retailers offer clip-on frames that do not require drilling into your bumper. It's important to note that 31 states mandate having both a front and rear license plate displayed on your vehicle.
