In a Chevrolet Malibu, there is a bracket holding the battery in place, making it tricky to know how to jump-start the car. Instead of removing the bracket, you can use a jump point located near the battery but not directly on it. To do this, first find the positive jump point, situated slightly towards the passenger's compartment from the battery and under a red cover. If you can't see the cover, it may be broken off, so look for a small piece of metal and cover it to prevent any safety issues. For the negative connection, use a stud on the upper right side of the under-hood area, or find any grounded, unpainted metal to use as the negative jump point.

It's as easy as giving a boost to other cars. Find the correct terminals, connect the cables, and give the vehicle a jump.
