If your Dodge Cummins is in limp mode, there's a quick trick to try to get it out. First, turn the vehicle to the on position without starting the engine. Next, press the accelerator pedal to the floor three times quickly. Then, turn the engine back on and the issue should be resolved. If the vehicle remains in limp mode and there's a check engine light on, you'll need to use an OBD II scan tool. In many cases, when there's a problem with your engine, the truck will go into limp mode to prevent further damage.

I drive a 2018 Dodge Ram 2500 with a 6.7-liter engine. When I try to shift into manual 4th gear, the truck moves slowly and won't shift gears. I need assistance to figure out how to fix this issue. I've already had it checked, but I'm still in need of a solution.

I own a 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 and have replaced the turbo and the map sensor. I also fixed an issue with the manifold and repaired some wiring. However, the truck is still going into limp mode with error code P0299. I am seeking assistance from anyone who can help me with this issue. My mechanic is unable to find a solution and suspects it might be related to the computer or wiring problem. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide for my 4x4 truck dilemma.

I just drove 600 miles back from a hunting trip in South Louisiana. The check engine light came on last Friday when it was 19 degrees outside. I managed to make it all the way back without any issues. But then, as I was leaving the bar, my vehicle suddenly lost power and went into a reduced power mode. The next minute, it was back to running at full power. I could have been in serious trouble if things went south. Your advice on this situation would be greatly appreciated!

If your Dodge Cummins goes into limp mode, there's a quick trick you can try to get it back to normal. First, turn the vehicle to the on position without starting the engine. Next, quickly press the accelerator pedal all the way to the floor three times. Then, start the engine again and the issue should be resolved. If your vehicle is still in limp mode and there's a check engine light, you'll need to use an OBD II scan tool. Limp mode is often activated when there's a problem with the engine to prevent further damage.

I removed the fuse box from the foundation by disconnecting all the connectors. Then, I sprayed contact cleaner on everything and used a wire brush to clean it. After putting it all back together, the limp mode disappeared. The issue was occasional power interruptions to the ECM and TCM. I hope this information benefits someone.
