I just drove 600 miles back from a hunting trip in South Louisiana. The check engine light came on last Friday when it was 19 degrees outside. I removed the fuse box from the foundation by disconnecting all the connectors. Then, I sprayed contact cleaner on everything and used a wire brush to clean it. After putting it all back together, the limp mode disappeared. The issue was occasional power interruptions to the ECM and TCM. I hope this information benefits someone.
