To change the Ford Fusion door code, you will need the original factory code. Input the factory code, press 1, 2, and enter your preferred 5-digit code. Then, press 1 to finish the setup. If you don't have the code, check the owner's manual for a card labeled "door code," or find it in the BCM above the brake pedal on the driver's side footwell. If you can't locate it, take the car to the dealership where they can retrieve the stored default factory code from the PCM.

If you have a traditional key instead of a push button start, you can locate the code by inserting the first key and turning it to the accessory position for 4 seconds. Then remove that key, insert the second key, and turn it to the accessory position for 4 seconds. The original factory code will appear on the odometer display.

I owned a 2014 Ford Fusion Titanium with EcoBoost. I located mine tucked away behind the fuse box, behind the panel under the headlight switch. It was way back there. Using a pivot-mounted mirror, I managed to loosen the bottom bolt partially, without removing it completely. It required some tricky movements, but once I got it positioned correctly, it didn't take me too long. Now, the only thing left to do is figure out how to read backward.
