To replace the air filter on a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid, you won't need any tools besides the replacement filter itself. Start by opening the hood and finding the air filter box, located on the driver's side of the engine bay behind the headlight. Release the 6 clips holding down the top section, lift it up and to the side to access the filter inside. Remove the old filter and dispose of it, then insert the new filter. Finally, just follow the reverse steps to put everything back together.

You can't swap out the air filter in a FFH from 2010 to 2012. These are lifetime air filters, so if you need to replace one, your Ford dealer will charge at least $260, plus one hour or more for labor. It's a very costly repair! Note that this information applies to regular gas Fusions.
