To swap out the auxiliary port in a 2010 Toyota Camry, start by taking off the small trim panels on either side of the center unit. These panels are secured with a single clip and should come off easily with a little pressure. Next, remove the gear shifter knob and the center console lid to clear the area for better access. Engage the emergency brake, start the car, and shift into drive before turning it off. This will allow you to remove the screws holding the aux port in place. Take out the unit, unclip the aux/USB port components, replace them with the new ones, and then reinstall everything in reverse order.

One way to address the issue with the auxiliary port in a 2010 Toyota Camry is to firmly hold the 3.5mm audio cable in place while switching the car stereo to auxiliary mode.
