To replace the battery in the key fob of a 2016 Ford F-150, start by getting a CR2032 3v cell battery, which typically costs between $10 to $15 for a pair. Fold out the physical key on the key fob and get a screwdriver or pry tool. Turn the key fob on its side and locate a small hole in the middle of where the key was. Insert the tool, apply pressure, and the key fob will come apart into two pieces, with one containing the battery compartment. Take out the old battery, insert the new one, and simply snap the pieces back together.
