If you realize that the blend door actuator is not working correctly in a 2013 Ford Explorer, it might be necessary to replace it. You can locate the actuator behind the dashboard on the passenger's side. To reach it, you'll need to first take out the entire glove compartment from the vehicle. Then, remove the plastic trim located behind the glove box. This will give you access to the filter. Take out the filter and then you can reach the blend door from underneath it. Once you find the actuator on the left side, disconnect the wires, unscrew the two bolts, and then take it out of the vehicle.
