Replacing the brake booster on a Ford Edge can be challenging. It is recommended that you take the car to a professional to have it done, which may cost around $500 but will save you a lot of trouble. However, if you decide to tackle it yourself, you will need some tools including metric sockets and wrenches, flathead and Phillips screwdrivers, pliers, a rubber mallet, and an adjustable wrench. Start by removing the air cleaner and battery, then take off the cowl panel and wipers. Proceed by removing the intake master cylinder to reveal the brake booster. Undo the bolts and wires holding it in place, then replace it with the new one. Reassemble all the components in the opposite order and you will have completed the task.
