Allow the engine to cool down before proceeding. Remove the upper plenum from the intake manifold, along with all the related cables and wiring. Then, detach the fuel rail by first disconnecting the supply and lines. Next, replace the faulty fuel injector by carefully removing and replacing it with a new injector and O-ring. Reassemble all the components you removed and start the engine. Take a brief drive to check for any leaks. Depending on the condition of the fuel injector, repairing it may be a better option than outright replacement. If you decide to replace it, ensure you purchase a new fuel injector.
