The GMC Acadia does not have a manual reset option for the check engine light. After fixing the issue, you'll need to cycle the vehicle on and off a few times for the light to turn off. If the light remains despite your efforts, you may have to resort to a more forceful approach. Try disconnecting the car's battery for 20 minutes to restore it to its default settings. Alternatively, if you have a scanner tool, you can use that to clear the light instead.
To clear the check engine light on the GMC Acadia, you can either reset the battery by disconnecting the positive and negative cables or use an OBD scanner to reset it.
Unhook the battery ground connection for around a minute or head to a car parts shop where they can reset it at no charge.
