Assuming you've actually gotten your oil changed, it's important not to ignore the oil change reminder light on your 2000 Honda Odyssey. By taking care of your vehicle, you can prevent getting stranded in the middle of winter like a certain "friend" did outside Toledo. To reset the engine oil life indicator, first turn the ignition to the run position without starting the engine. Locate the Select/Reset button on either the steering wheel or dashboard knob depending on your trim level. Find the Engine Oil Life/Indicator % display and hold down the Select/Reset button for ten seconds until the Engine Oil message starts blinking. For models with Engine Oil Life, select Reset mode by pressing the info button on the steering wheel and use the Select/Reset button to reset the oil percentage to 100%. If you have the Engine Oil Indicator version, simply hold the knob for more than five seconds until the indicator shows 100%.
