To reset the computer in your car, you have two options. You can disconnect the battery cable and let it sit for around 30 minutes. If you prefer not to do that, you can also remove the fuse and follow the same process. To access the fuse box, locate a small seam or crack to the left of the steering wheel on the dashboard. Use a screwdriver or prybar to open it up. Inside, you'll find various fuses. Look at the diagram on the back of the panel you opened to identify the specific fuse you need. If the diagram is not there, you can find it in the vehicle's owner's manual. Once you locate the correct fuse, simply pull it out. Check if the thin strip of metal connecting the two sections of the fuse is intact. If it's broken, the fuse is defective and should be replaced. If the strip is intact, the fuse is fine and can be reinserted. Replacement fuses are usually inexpensive, costing around $10.
