To turn off the oil change light in a 2016 Ford Escape, check out this video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=204FyDNSGlA. It's important to use high-quality oil to keep your engine running smoothly. Problems with the oil could lead to engine issues, such as strange knocking sounds or even the engine failing to work. A common sign of bad oil is a strong burning odor, which could indicate a serious problem that needs immediate attention to prevent the car from possibly catching fire. Poor oil quality can also result in decreased gas mileage. Remember to replace your oil every 5,000 to 10,000 miles to prevent engine problems from occurring.

To reset the oil indicator on your car, first, put the key in the ignition but don't start the engine. Then, step on both the brake and gas pedals simultaneously. After a moment, the display should show "service: oil reset in progress." Keep holding down the pedals for around 25 seconds until the message changes to "service: oil reset complete." Let go of the pedals and turn off the vehicle.

I have attempted to do this but I can't seem to reset the car. Are there any other options available?

To reset the oil change light on a 2016 Ford Escape when the engine is off, follow these steps:

For the turn-key model, insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the on position without starting the engine. Press down on both the brake and accelerator pedals at the same time. After about 2-3 seconds, "service oil - reset in prog(ress)" will appear on the message display screen. Keep holding the pedals for 20-25 seconds until "service oil - reset complete" is displayed.

For the push-button start model, press the start button once with the engine off and without touching the brake pedal. Then, press down on both the brake and accelerator pedals simultaneously until "service oil - reset complete" shows up on the screen.

I appreciate the advice. After watching numerous videos, most of them recommended trying this method. I gave it a shot, and I'm glad it worked out. Thank goodness for that!

    That method is ineffective.

To start the car, turn on the ignition, then press both the brake and gas pedals all the way to the floor for around 10 to 15 seconds. Finally, release the pedals and push the reset button if necessary.
