After changing the oil in your 2018 GMC Acadia, you will need to reset the reminder light indicating it's time for an oil change. To do this, turn the ignition key to the ON position without starting the engine. If your model has a button, press and hold the Engine Start/Stop button for seven seconds without pressing the brake pedal. Use the left arrow navigation button on your steering wheel to access the VEHICLE or INFO tab menu. Locate the menu option labeled Remaining Oil Life and press and hold the checkmark button on the steering wheel until the oil life display shows 100%. Finally, turn off the ignition and start the engine to verify that the light has been reset.

Start the car by turning the key to the ON position, but don't start the engine. Keep pressing the info button until you see the indicator showing the remaining oil life on the screen. Hold down the set/reset (check mark) button until the oil life information resets.

Here's a revamped version of the text: To check the remaining oil life in the 2018 GMC Acadia, first turn the ignition to the on position without starting the engine. Then, press the info button repeatedly until the oil life remaining is displayed. Lastly, press and hold the set/reset button (marked with a check symbol) until the oil life information refreshes.
