To reset the oil indicator on the 2015 Honda Pilot, you should first park the vehicle. Navigate to the settings menu, find the reset option, and press and hold it. This action will turn off the indicator, but if you need to change the oil, the light will come back on. When conducting an oil change on the car, ensure the vehicle has been parked and turned off for a couple of hours to allow the oil to cool down. Locate the oil pan in the engine compartment and spot the drain plug beneath it. Place a bucket under the plug, remove it, and let the oil drain into the container until it stops dripping (which could take about an hour). Once the draining is complete, reattach the drain plug and find the intake port on the top of the oil pan. Use a funnel to refill the oil pan to its full capacity, being careful not to overfill it. It's better to be slightly underfilled than to risk leaks and oil burning off due to overfilling. After filling the oil pan, seal the port, clean up any spilled oil, and your oil change process will be done.
