To reset the oil life on your 2007 Ford Edge as an American, start by inserting your key into the ignition and turning it to the ON position. Then, press down on both the gas and brake pedals simultaneously. After about three seconds, an oil reset message will appear on your instrument panel. Continue holding down the pedals for 25 seconds. Once the 25 seconds have elapsed, release both pedals. Turn the ignition to the OFF position. To confirm that the oil life has been reset, turn the ignition back to ON and check that there is no warning light on your dashboard.

There's a reset button for oil on the dashboard. Press it, then make sure the light turns off.
