To reset the oil life indicator on a 2012 Honda Odyssey, sit in the driver's seat with the doors closed. Turn the key to the RUN position (first position, not starting the engine). Hold down the SELECT/RESET button until you see the engine life indicator on the instrument cluster display. Press the same button again for at least 10 seconds until the maintenance code blinks. Hold it again for 5 seconds. The maintenance code should now change to a message stating that the oil life has been reset to 100%. Turn off the ignition and start the vehicle to verify that the reset has been saved. If you are changing the oil yourself in your Odyssey, you will need 4.3 liters (4.5 quarts) of OW-20 engine oil.
