Rebooting the oil indicator on your 2013 Ford Fiesta is a simple process that should only take around 5 to 7 minutes of your time. To begin, open the driver's side door and enter the vehicle. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the on position, ensuring not to start the engine accidentally. The orange light on the dashboard should illuminate. Press down on both the brake and gas pedals simultaneously with your right foot and hold for about 18 to 25 seconds. Turn the ignition off and then back on again. You should see the oil light turn off at this point.
It was unsuccessful, do you have any other recommendations?
Turn the ignition to the on position and the error will display on the screen, with the orange console light also coming on. Rather than restarting the engine, hold down both the brake and accelerator pedals for 20 seconds. Turn off the ignition, and the error or warning should no longer show up.
Turn the ignition to the on position, then press down on both the brake and accelerator pedals simultaneously for approximately half a minute.
My car's oil maintenance indicator turned off after 38 seconds of pressing the gas and brake pedals with the key in the on position before I turned the key off.
