To deactivate the passenger side airbag on a 2009 Ford Ranger, you have two options. The first option is to utilize the deactivation lock in the car. Locate a small circle on the dashboard labeled as Passenger Airbag or PassBag. Insert the car key, turn it to the off position, and then press and hold the button until you hear a beep. This will disable the airbag until the next time you drive. If you want to permanently disable it, locate the fuse box to the left of the steering wheel. Inside, you will find a fuse for the passenger airbag. Remove this fuse to permanently deactivate the airbag. However, keep in mind that you may be held liable for increased costs if someone in your car is injured, so proceed with caution.
