To deactivate the air suspension on the Ram 1500, you can go into the infotainment system settings and turn off "aero mode." The various air suspension settings have speed restrictions, meaning that once you reach 30 mph, the off-road mode and other settings will be disabled, and the suspension will return to the default mode. If you want to completely disable the air suspension, you would need to access the fuse panel and remove the fuse. However, this is not recommended as it could potentially void your warranty if any issues arise while in this mode. While an error code will be displayed on the screen, you can still safely drive the vehicle. It's important to note that the off-road mode will make the suspension stiffer, so be mindful of this when driving with this mode activated.

I own a ram truck that has air suspension. Can the suspension be disabled when driving off-road in mode 1? I want to avoid the vehicle lowering itself, so is there a way to prevent that from happening?

If you raise the truck, it will activate the air suspension system. You'll have to access the menu options to disable it from there.

In the harsh Arctic temperatures ranging from -10°F to -50°F, the Air Suspension of the 2016 RAM 1500 ECO Diesel may fail to operate effectively, causing the Air bags to collapse, with potentially only one or two being affected. However, once the temperature rises above freezing, the suspension typically starts functioning normally again. Is there a solution or procedure available to prevent or address this issue?

here's a paraphrased and unique version:

I own a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 with a Hemi engine. It's currently stuck in off-road mode 2 (sometimes displaying as OR1), and the vehicle won't adjust its height. All the indicator lights are flashing. The dealership believes there's a leak and they estimate needing around 3 hours to locate the issue after running diagnostic tests. Despite researching online, I couldn't find a solution. Can anyone provide assistance? Please email me at johnk.9@hotmail.com. Thank you.

When issues arise with the air suspension system, repairs can become costly in a short amount of time. Remove it by using the Strutmasters conversion kit for a more affordable solution.
