To reset the alarm on your 2014 Toyota Corolla, you have two choices. First, you can open the hood and disconnect the positive battery cable, keeping it disconnected for around 30 minutes. This will drain the power from the CPU, triggering a self-reset when the system restarts. Alternatively, you can remove the appropriate fuse from the fuse box and wait for a similar duration. This method is more precise, resetting only the alarm system. Remember, disconnecting the battery will reset multiple functions, while pulling the fuse will target only the alarm – just make sure to check the fuse diagram to identify the correct one.
To deactivate the alarm system, insert the key into the ignition and switch it from the run position to off five times.
