To reprogram the alarm on the Mitsubishi Eclipse, you have two choices. One option is to open the hood and disconnect the positive battery cable for around 30 minutes to drain the power from the CPU, which will prompt the system to reset itself when you turn it back on. The alternative is to remove the fuse from the fuse box and wait for a similar period. This method will reset the alarm specifically, but you will need to refer to the fuse diagram to identify the correct fuse. Disconnecting the battery will reset multiple functions, while pulling the fuse will only reset the alarm system.

I don't have the key fob, just a regular key. It didn't cause me any trouble until now.

Hey, listen up! I've got the solution! I own a 98 spyder and it's a simple fix! Remove the radio, and you'll find two relays at the bottom. Take out the right one and connect a wire from the left to the right to bypass the alarm. Say goodbye to the killswitch and that annoying alarm that used to leave me stranded.

My 1996 Spider alarm goes off mostly when it's wet, which is really irritating. I'm planning to remove the fuse to see if that helps to silence it.

Utilize your key to secure and open the driver's side door. If using the key on the driver's side does not work, attempt the passenger side instead.
