Hey, listen up! I've got the solution! I own a 98 spyder and it's a simple fix! Remove the radio, and you'll find two relays at the bottom. Take out the right one and connect a wire from the left to the right to bypass the alarm. Say goodbye to the killswitch and that annoying alarm that used to leave me stranded.

My 1996 Spider alarm goes off mostly when it's wet, which is really irritating. I'm planning to remove the fuse to see if that helps to silence it.
