To disable the anti-theft alarm on the Chevy Cruze, you can either use the correct key to unlock the driver's door or press the unlock button on the transmitter. If the alarm goes off, the exterior lights will flash, and the horn will sound for 30 seconds until you press the transmitter. To activate the system when exiting, press the power door lock switch on the driver's side or the "unlock" button on the transmitter. The alarm will take about 30 seconds to arm, but you can do it immediately by pressing the fob again. The Cruze's manual describes the anti-theft feature as a passive system that activates automatically when the vehicle is turned off.

Give this a shot: Lock your vehicle and activate the alarm system. Use the key to unlock the driver's door. The alarm will sound briefly. Close the door, then start the car by turning the key in the ignition while the alarm is beeping.

In American terms, the button on the remote key that says "unlock" is pressed to turn off the car's anti-theft system. Use the key to unlock the driver's side door, and then turn the ignition switch to the "on" position. If that doesn't work, step out of the vehicle, roll down all the windows, and lock the driver's side door with the key.
