To deactivate the front lights on the 2019 Kia Forte, simply use the switch located on the left side of the steering column. If the lights are not functioning or the switch is unresponsive, check the fuse. To access the fuse box, locate a small seam or crack along the dash on the left side of the steering wheel. Use a screwdriver or prybar to open it. Inside, you will find multiple fuses. The back of the panel you opened will have a diagram showing the purpose of each fuse. If the diagram isn't there, refer to the vehicle's owner's manual. Identify the needed fuse and remove it. A broken thin strip of metal connecting the two raised sections indicates a faulty fuse that needs replacement. If the strip is intact, the fuse is still good and can be reinserted. New fuses are inexpensive, typically costing around $10.
