To replace the tire on a 2017 Ford Escape, first ensure the car is in park with the emergency brake engaged. Then, access the trunk and lift the floor panel to reach the spare tire. Loosen the nut securing the spare by turning it counterclockwise. Take out the tire, as well as the scissor jack and tire iron/lug nut tool. Identify the lift point nearest to the tire being changed, indicated by an arrow on the rocker panel. Position the jack so it just touches the frame, loosen the lug nuts, lift the jack until the tire is off the ground, and then remove the lugs and old tire. Install the spare tire, secure it with the lugs in a crisscross pattern, and tighten them.

To switch out a tire on a 2017 Ford Escape, make sure you're in a safe location with the parking brake engaged and your owner's manual within reach. When changing a rear tire, place wheel wedges in front of the front tires; for a front tire, put wheel wedges behind the back tires. Use the lug wrench to loosen the lug nuts. Position the jack securely beneath the frame near the flat tire and crank it to lift the vehicle around five inches. Fully loosen the lug nuts, take them off, and carefully remove the flat tire. Install the spare tire by aligning the rim's center holes with the lug bolts. Put back the lug nuts and tighten them. Lower the vehicle to the ground using the jack, then remove the jack. Lastly, use the lug wrench to firmly tighten and secure the spare tire in place.
