If your Chevy Malibu alarm is causing issues and preventing you from driving, you will need to reset it to get it functioning properly again. Luckily, the reset process is quite simple and there are multiple methods to try. To start, insert your key in the door and turn it counterclockwise while holding it until you hear the horn honk. Another way is to simultaneously press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on your key fob until the horn honks. Alternatively, you can disconnect the battery for five minutes to allow the body control module to reset.
