The oil light reset process for Honda Civic models from 2005 to 2011 remains consistent. You have two options: using an OBD-II scan tool with oil light capabilities to send a command through the diagnostic port, or performing a manual reset. To manually reset the oil light, start by turning the ignition to the RUN position. Next, use the SELECT/RESET knob to locate the engine oil life indicator. Hold the SELECT/RESET knob for at least 10 seconds until the indicator blinks. Then, press the knob for an additional 5 seconds or more to reset the engine oil life to 100%.
