Failure to reset the light may result in your vehicle indicating the need for another oil change sooner than required. Resetting the light is a quick process that only takes a few moments. To do this, first turn the ignition on without starting the engine. Next, press the accelerator to the floor three times within five seconds. When you do this, you will see the oil light flash and then it will reset. Once completed, you can turn off the ignition.
